Uneven Deck for Toro SS5000

Hello,

I need a bit of help. I was mowing the lawn the other day and idiotically decided to go over a medium sized stump in the grass. I managed to get over it and the stump was completely pulled out (had been rotting for a few months), but at the cost of my mower's leveling. The deck (I think that's what it's called, houses the blades) is stuck in the highest possible level it can be on the left side, but not on the right. That is to say, when I use the lever which is supposed to adjust the height of the deck, only the right side is slightly influenced, and not much so, due to the left side being stuck. I tried to see what the issue was but cannot find it at all. It just seems "stuck", which is weird since I went over something. The motor works fine and the mower is completely operational as far as I know, but I am unable to mow since it will not be even at all.

If anyone has any ideas, they'd be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave

Unfortunately, even a rotting stump is pretty tough. You probably have done two things. 1) bent the daylights out of your blade and, possibly wedged it against the deck side 2) knocked out the adjustment spring on the left side. It sounds like you may need to take the mower in as this event requires some knowledge in order to put your mower back in top shape.
Good Luck

Take your foot and see if you can push it back down. Have done this before and it was just wedged up there.

(( cowboy up and get over it ))

check under the frame rails and see if the leveling arm has popped out of place....happened to me......frame rails are on each side of the place your feet go when you are sitting on mower
