Hello,

I'm new to the forum and glad I found you. I have a JD160 lawn tractor. I'd like to put new tires on it and I'm wondering if some makes/models are better than others (like cars). My primary use is mowing and the sizes I need are: F: 15x6.00-6, R: 18x8.50-8. Also, are changing these tires something you can do at home with hand tools?

Sorry, but I did not give that much thought to the characteristics. I would say good grip with minimal lawn damage would be most important followed by resistance to cracking.
