Tuff Torq 40J, transmission slipping,,

LA125with 190.2 hours,,,, got stuck,, ipulled it 6 to 8 feet with transmission engaged,,,, tyres hopped,,,, now trany slips after two minutes.
Could i damage the transmission towing it backwards and in gear,,,?

When was the last time you replaced the drive belts. They may be worn and you might have created a bad spot when towing.

thank you for a prompt reply,,,, i did replace the drive belt, no change, changed fluid in transmission, 20w-50 motor oil,,,no change,,
it's an old mower, but in GREAT shapoe AND it was given to me by a daer friend,,,, the property is on an agressive slope,,,!
and i weigh 220 lbs,,,,

the getting stuck may have been the cause of the transmission slipping, or a symptom of the transmission slipping, and you are assuming that it was the towing.
