I've got a TS248XD that runs well 98% of the time. It occasionally bogs down and almost stalls, usually when going down hill. But that is rare...maybe once every 4-6 hours of mowing.
This past weekend, it started to lose momentum while going up hill. Engine speed and cutting were normal.
Seems like a drive belt issue? Maybe need to tension it or replace a worn belt?
Interesting, thanks Bert. Run out the gas? Then remove the carburetor and fuel line to dry everything out? Blow out the carb and fuel line with an air compressor?
