i have a L111. on the right side is the cruse control (black.) on the left side is the parking control (yellow) .its a 206 and i dont think the park control has ever been used. it wont move up or down at all. on something like this i head for my most used tool in my box, a hammer. but i just dont know how this parking thing works . but i dont want to mess it up.i just dont know what size hammer to use.

Hopefully the JD link above worked
The parking brake works by latching on to the brake linkage.
As you were told previously you push the brake pedal to activate the brake and then use the orange lever to lock it on.
It will not move unless the brake pedal is depressed.
They get clogged up with dirt , dust & rust

Idiots try to prove Darwin correct by dissabeling the seat switch because they are incapable of pulling the orange button up before getting off the mower.
Apparently several thousand of then succeed by seriously injuring themselves or others every year.
