Hello, maybe someone can spot the problem for me because I am stumped.
I have owned the Trimmer in the title for about 4 years now, I got it used from a guy moving south...lolIt came with another complete trimmer, a TB475SS that wasn't running but only needed a carb cleaning to go. plus a bunch of attachments for $50.00. Anyhow this trimmer (the 575ss Big Red) ran ok so I rebuilt the carb with all new gaskets, new primer bulb, hoses and a gas filter... it ran great, then this summer it started getting harder to start and only ran good on half choke so I took off the carb, cleaned it and put it back on and it wouldn't even start up. I then got a new gasket kit, replaced the gaskets, needle valve (just the valve) and gas filter... it now starts but still, only runs on half choke. Could it be something else? I have never messed with the valve adjustments... could this be it? if I choke it while running it dies, if I open the choke all the way it dies... lol is this a gas or air issue? also, there is no way to adjust the air / fuel mixture on these Walbro carbs?
thanks!

put some WD 40 or similar in a trigger pack and spray liberally around the cylinder / carb area the around the levers that go into the carb trying very hard not to get any down the air intake.
If you have an air leak it will be most obvious.
Only running with the choke on means not enough fuel getting into the cylinder for the volume of air.
Two sides to the problem.
Not enough fuel getting to the carb
Too much air entering after the fuel has entered
