Model number please so we know what kind of tranny and drive system you have.
First thing that comes to mind is how much pressure do you have in the tyres ?
Ride on tyres are designed not to damage the lawn and have a light contact force so they are very sensative to tyre pressure.
0.5 lb/inch can make a drastic difference to grip.
softer tyre pressure will increase the traction.
