troy bilt pony is slow

i got a pony riding mower (2008) that runs great but only issue is that it is pretty slow. it seems to be in the same speed even if you use the speed selector from 1 to 7. I changed the main drive belt but it wasn’t the problem. Any ideas?

The belts need to be replaced as a pair, not one at a time
They also need to be OEM belts or OEM spec belts they are not standard section belts as most Evilpay / Scamazon criminals will sell you .
The varidrive system is a tug-o-war between the spring on the rear belt and the tension on the front belt.
To work properly the middle section of the common pulley has to be able to move up & down.
