Blades Troy-Bilt 13WX79KT011 Horse XP tension spring

Removed my deck on a Troy-Bilt 13WX79KT011 Horse XP to change the blades. I now have a spring that doesn't seem to go anywhere. I believe it to be the tension spring. Blades do not engage when i put pto in gear. I've looked at the diagram for this model and simply cannot tell where this spring connects to. I thought it might go in the small hole in the deck but it doesn't reach. Went to Lowes and looked under a mower there and it looks like it is hooked to a bar but I don't have that bar so I figure model year might be different.
I'm rambling. Any help (picture maybe) would be appreciated.

ARIPartFinder Looking at parts breakdown, if you're talking about spring 28, it looks like it goes to part 47 deck lift rod then to part 59 idler bracket, let us know if this helps or not, thanks.
