Troy-Bilt lawn tractor with an electrical problem. I am in need of a service manual with a schematic.
I tried tracing the wires but blew 8 fuses in the process. Need a map and maybe help.

Enter Model & Serial #'s then click Manuals, wiring schematic should be in Operators or Parts Manual. Let us know if this helps, thanks Mark

Thanks, Mark
I did go to Troy-Bilt and entered my Model number but it was not long enough.
Everything stopped and I could not get any further.
Now what?
DO you have idea where I can get parts?

Post your model number from under the seat, and we can give it a try. Better yet take a picture of the ID tag which ensures we have the correct number.

Thanks to one and all!
These have all helped, a friend from church sent me another link as well.
Yes, the tractor is VERY old, a friend gave it to me about 5 or 6 years ago, it sat in her barn for 4-5 years.
14 HP Kohler engine, new battery, fix four flats, and fuel, it ran.
Ran great until last year.

One more question.
When I turn the key it flips the fuse, any ideas?

Well back to work tracing wires.

First get yourself some replacement circuit breakers to replace the fuse while you are doing the testing
They are quite cheap off Evilpay / Scamazon
Do not use them when mowing because they will vibrate to death but handy for diagnosis .
You have a dead short somewhere
Referring to the diagram Star posted ( which is better than the one I have ) pull all of the plugs off all of the switches then bridge the bottom 2 wires, one side at a time.
With one pair bridged, connect all of the switches, one at a time and check the breaker after each one is connected .
Try & do it according to the wiring diagram starting from the key switch & ending at the last one in the circuit .
When the breaker pops you have found the bad switch or the wiring between it & the previous switch
It is going to be slow but you will get there
