I am trying to get a mower working. So far I have got the engine going but now I can not get it to go into gear. Forward or backward. I know it is belt driven and the belt is ok,
Does anyone have any ideas to try. I am open to try anything to make this thing GO.

We really need to know the model number under/behind the seat to be of much help.

Also need to know if you can push the tractor. Does the shifter move at all? Click into forward or reverse? If not, can you
do it with the engine not running???? Any details about the history would be helpful, none of the folks here have supernatural powers....

Sorry I did not think of that, I will get them,
I can push it as long as I it out of park
the selector is just in front of the seat that has a knob for forward and reverse, speed selector is on the right of the seat, when I move the shifter to forward or reverse, and release the clutch brake it does not react,
I will get those model numbers and post them.
