Lawn Tractor Manuals | Riding Mower Manual | Simplicity Mowers I entered your model number, website is experiencing problems. Give them a while and give it a try.

What year is tractor and is it still under warranty? If not under warranty, remove deck and replace drive belt, it's probably worn out. Be sure to replace with original Simplicity part number belt. Your owners operator manual might have belt part number. Now would be a good time to lube tractor, all grease fittings, as well as steering sector and pinion gears. Since your deck will be removed you can clean deck topside and underside, inspect belt for replacement and all hardware for being tight. I would also remove blades, clean, inspect for wear, and if they look ok dress them up with a file and balance blades, this should be in your manual. Lube spindle grease fittings top of deck and use an oil squirt gun to lube all moving parts being careful not to get oil on belts, if you do wipe them off.

Ok -- I have the Deck Removed and I have the tractor manual.

So after Step 3) Unplug the wiring harness from the PTO. Remove the PTO as shown in Figure 37, Step 4 says to "Remove the drag link rear hardware. When reassembling, apply thread locking compound to nut before tightening."

I do not know what the drag link rear hardware is and there was no illustration or diagram of the drag link rear hardware in the replace drive belt section of the manual.

Drag link is inside left front wheel, illustrated parts list pages 4 & 5, item 18 is drag link. Remove parts 15, 16, & 19, bolt, washer, and nut. Apply Blue Loctite to bottom three bolt threads upon reassembly.
