Transmission Pulley problem

Hi all,

Working on a Toro Wheelhorse 112-6 with a peerless gearbox, I had a recent drive issue in that it just wouldn't spin the wheels properly. I believe the pulley on top of the gearbox has gone bad, wobbles from side to side and won't do a smooth full turn by hand. Is this a replaceable part of a sign of a deeper issue?

Is it the pulley that wobbles, or is it in the gearbox. It looks like the shaft is solidly attached. That would make the problem in the box, bearings/bushings.

Most likely it is the input shaft and the two needle bearings.

Input shaft Tecumseh 776135.
Needle Bearing Tecumseh 780086A.

So effectively I'll need to get the gearbox open and have a look at the input shaft ?

Right if it is wobbling.
