Blades Tractor#247288851 Cuts out

My tractor cuts out as soon as I engage the blades (it does the same thing in reverse but its supposed to) any ideas please my grass is getting tall!
 
How are you with a voltage tester? Sounds like one of the safety switches is not working. To test them you unplug the wires going to them then check for continuity. Many different switches so you check for open and closed. Button not presses has one reading and button down reads the other way. Also check to see if they are being pushed all the way. Sometimes they get moved from their correct position.
