Couple months ago I purchased the above Zero turn. .........Built in 09...........Paid to much ,but when U got plenty money....who cares.

Has a Kohler Courage 23 twin cylinder OHV; Cast iron liners; Full pressure lubrication; Exceeds SAE J1940 HP standards
725CC.... model SV7208....serial # 3907107..hard to read number or letter.....709 (last 3 numbers)

This beast runs like a spotted U know what, believe it'll cut down a redwood.

Whats the point to all this garbage above?

Seeking comments, suggestions, critizisms, etc.,about this mower in general.

Main the SV720S gives the engine model but should be spec number too. Serial number as given doesn't come up. But you will need the model and spec to look up engine parts.

Now the Toro 74373 did come with a Kohler SV720-0039 engine.

Will be a "S" but you drop it when searching a for IPL. "S" is for electric starter.

Scuze my egnertz, but what does "IPL" mean or stand for?

Also, this engine has cast iron sleeves; am "assuming" are replaceably... thought they were extinct.

Does not use oil.

IPL stands for individual parts list or Itemized parts list. Basically shorthand for parts diagrams. Also the cast iron sleeves are molded into the aluminum block at the time of casting and are not replaceable.

Just try running the engine without oil....Nearly all engines use oil to lube themselves. And some oil will be consumed during the operation. When you run an engine without oil it usually ends badly.

" What We Have........... Is Failure To Communicate". Famous line from "Cool Hand Luke".

Did not mean to even imply to run an engine low on oil, much less without oil.

Have been working on vehicles IE: engines way before U were born...first car 1939 Packard bought in 1954. Graduated from high school 1955...age 18...do the math.

Have a good day.
