How can so tell which deck spindle is bad? I have the deck off and all three spin freely but when mowing I can tell that one is not cutting. Thanks for the help.
Without the belt on they should spin freely & quietly
Hold the blades at the tip and try to rock them see saw style
Any rock = trashed bearing
Also check for up & down movement
A couple of thou is ok any more = trashed bearings
After that you have belt routing and the condition of the tension arm and the idler pulleys ( quiet spin )
