I have a toro ss4235 zero turn that when you engage the steering arms the engine shuts down. Even starts with no one in the seat and blades engaged. How do I check to find the problem? Thanks
Engine cuts out when you engage the lap bars because of one or both.
1) seat switch activated so mower "thinks" you have fallen out
or
2) parking brake is on or parking brake switch is on.
Engine should start without any one in the seat because we have to do this to service the mower.
Engine should not start with the PTO switch on and that is a faulty PTO switch.
