Hello guys, need some help diagnosing a no spark condition.this is a toro snowblower model#38130,its an older one with points and condenser.Today I replaced those 2 parts,I set the gap at .020 as recommended. Also checked the start-stop switch but cannot get any spark. Btw I double checked my gap made sure I did it properly....still no spark.thanks in advance for any help,5-8 inches of snow tomorrow. Brent

Check the Point gap to see that it actually opens.... and that it will close.
Also check the condenser, if it is shorted out it will not work.... :smile:KennyV

How do you check condenser?... Point gap does open and close as it should. What about the coil? I know they don't go bad very often but hate to buy one if that is not the problem. Need help its snowing like crazy!! Thanks Brent

How do you check condenser?...

Brent...
The easiest check is with an ohm meter (DVOM) A condenser (capacitor) should measure an Open with your ohm meter... :smile:KennyV
