I cannot find a thing on this mower. I've looked everywhere. Under the operator control panel, around the baging/chute area, under the deck, etc.

Can you post a picture of the top of the handle and engine numbers. That design was used for many years and we are going to have us the engine numbers to solve your problem.

You have a Briggs quantum engine. The numbers are either on the metal plate over the top of the muffler or on the shroud by the spark plug.

That is what I am thinking also! I've looked around and my best bet is 20666. Same deck, motor, bag, handles, controls, etc.

Also, each time I shut off the mower and restart it again, it falls in choke mode. I have to lower the throttle and slowly get it back up to speed to not hit choke. What could be the problem?

I will try and see tomorrow if I can find some numbers on the motor.

You could have helped a guy out. Why didn't you post what model you thought it might be in the beginning???? It would have saved a lot of time and effort!!! Do you think we can just look at a unit and model numbers just pop into our heads??? Not a happy camper!!
