i am currently repairing a toro proline and i am curious to see if anyone knows what these wires are? The mower seems to run ok but i have no idea where these wires go.

Looks like they go to the stater under flywheel for charging. The yellow is probably ac for lights on riding mowers and red for battery charging....but hard to tell by the pic where those wires lead.
Well never mind...seen the other pic and have no clue...yellow is probably part of the ground circuit for a safety switch.
Pull the blower housing off.
IF both go to the alternator then it is a second power wire, probably AC for lights as already mentioned.
Looks like a swapped engine from a rider.
