Toro 20046 Super Recycler

Well I just picked up this mower from a guy on craigslist for $55. I thought it was a pretty good deal, and it is in pretty good condition, but I have a few questions. It has the Kawasaki engine, and I am not sure what weight oil to use. It also has a few noises coming from the self-propelled (Personal Pace). And also their is a really odd smell when it is running, as well as some oil along the bottom of the valve cover. I will hopefully post some pictures soon, and any help would be appreciated. But I checked and I think both say SAE 30 or 10W30.

Other users, please confirm my findings.

Okay, thanks for the link. I looked in the manual, and yeah, it's either 10w30 or just 30 weight. But for some reason the lawn mower will not run anymore. It ran when I went to check it out. It ran when I got it home, but then again it did die yesterday after I got it home and was mowing the front yard. I assumed it was just out of gas, but when I checked today, it had plenty. I guess I'll try replacing the air filter as well as the spark plug and go from there.
