I have a Craftsman T3300 tractor with a Briggs & Stratton 40N877-0039-G1 engine. The spring on the link broke and I can find no place for the spring to attach. B&S parts diagram and repair manual shows spring but not where it goes. Governor spring is part # 795915, Throttle link is 792265. Thanks for any help.

Okay I ran across this very spring setup here this morning. I thought was the case but just needed to be sure.

It goes around the throttle linkage ( IE that linkage is fed through the spring) and attaches at the carburetor throttle shaft and the other end attaches to the governor lever. Holes on both parts for the spring.

That's how I have attached the spring since there was no hole-now to get it started after sitting for almost 2 years.
