Throttle adjustments R1000

I had to replace my throttle cable. Ever since I've tried several times to adjust the cable so the engine idles down. I've failed miserably. I've worked on Troy Bilt 30" tb30's but this is the first time I had to completely replace the throttle cable. Any advice as to why I can't get this to idle down

Cable has a hold down screw of some kind. Move the cable in said hold down one way or the other.

Look at the old cable and see where the hold down was sitting at. Look for scratches in the cable.

Take pictures next time so you know how the new part is to be installed.
