Ebay is your friend.
Locate the product ID number label so you have the numbers handy, then check Ebay for a manual or a CD copy with all the service and repair data for your machine.
Beware: Online E-manuals are often incomplete or just plain wrong for the model applications. Go with the genuine JD version.
Depending on the design, I usually just suction the old fluid out, replace the spin on filter and then fill with new JD fluid that is specified for the machine. Some of these did not have traditional drain plugs.
Do not use universal fluid unless you want problems.
After servicing it is important to run and drive the machine for a couple of minutes then recheck the fluid level to make sure it is correct.
