the best machine for cutting the lawn

Good afternoon everybody!

I have a terrain of around 3 ha round the farm.

Which would be the best lawing machine to keep it tidy?

Husqvarna , JohnDeere or what?

I have a budget of ｣ 3,000

Hello Rolf... and WELCOME to LMF...

Wow you are looking at a LOT of lawn...
Your 3 Hectare area is about 7.5 Acres... You are going to be hard pressed to find any mower in the residential home owner class that will keep up with that type of extreme duty... I'm thinking you are going to have to go to a bit larger machine OR cut back on your acreage that you want to keep tidy & well groomed...

To regularly mow my 10 + acres I use a 6 foot ZTR and/or a 7 foot rear mounted finish mower... Using anything smaller will only require too many hours, and just ware you and the machine out....

My ZTR is an industrial grade machine... It is no longer available... It is similar to the Hustler 3700 but with regular Zero Turn Radius controls... Hustler Turf Products - Golf Mowers - 3700 I havve a cab on my CTL model, handy for mounting snow blowers and various other front mounted attachments...

You don't necessarily Need that much tractor... You could easily manage with something like the Commercial line... but these from Hustler are dedicated mowers ... you can not switch attachments...

Zero Turn machines really speed up your mowing... but the larger heavily built models will be pricey...

When I'm using a 7 foot rear mounted Finish mower, it is behind my 45 Hp diesel Kubota tractor... It will do a perfect grooming finish BUT it is not as maneuverable as a Zero Turn mower...

Watch for Good Used equipment in your part of France... there should be some better prices on used "good" equipment... :smile:KennyV
