My lawn mower threw a rob the problem is the rod part number had three different sizes
On the original rod it has 25-0-44 does this number have to do with chiseling the correct size rod

The numbers molded into the rod just mean something to maybe the factory. Just order a replacement rod by using the model and code off the engine, and ignore the numbers on the rod.

The 10 and the 20 are for undersized crankshafts, which unless you have had the crank turned, then just get the standard size rod.

 My question is, why did it throw a rod? If it were me, I would mic the rod journal before ordering a rod . ILENGINE< I meant to quote cfish and not your post. Sorry about that. Don B.

Is there any way you can post pictures of the crankshaft and the rod pieces. It will go a long ways in figuring out what happened.

Aluminum transfer onto the crankshaft and smearing of the aluminum in the rod journal show lack of lubrication failure.
