I have a Coleman Powermate 5000W Year 2006 with Tecumseh model HM100 10hp generator with pull start

I would like to install an electric start to this using a 12V battery

Can you just get a conversion kit ? Or can you give me the parts numbers of the following.

I need the ring gear for the flywheel and the 12v starter and the battery tipe.

The rest I can manage.

Thank you.

Needs will include;
Battery, flywheel with ring gear, battery holder, key switch, starter and wiring harness.
How much $$$$ you want to spend, if you can find the parts? Could easily cost more than the unit is worth. What happens if the 17 year old e

Trying to fit a ring gear to a flywheel, if you can find one, can be very tricky because you will need to balance the flywheel after the gear is attached. Better off trying to find the proper flywheel. Provide us with the engine spec number and I’ll do a little research.

Your right , I did not know that I had to balance the flywheel.
I think that I will have to drop that idea and find another generator with the starter built in.
