The owner has added new oil so smells OK. What I do notice is there is oilcoming up through the snall hole at the bottom of the breather chamber when I turn the motor over by hand.

I thought it was but checking the dip stick it was at the full mark

If the oil level is correct I would clean the area around the breather sparkling clean and dry. Then run the engine on a level surface for about 20 minutes to see if the problem persists when running. I would like you to run it for 20 minutes to see if it will clear up. I’m thinking you may have a bad breather, but want to clarify before telling you to replace it.
