hi i just replaced the carb on my mower. when i start mowing it sputters. so i took off the little black cap that covers the fuel jet and turned the screw just alittle and it ran alot better. but then the screw unscrewed its self from the vibration how do you keep this screw from unscrewing its self? tecumseh engine model # is ovrm120 and the new carb # 640338

When i come across that, I wrap the mix screw with pipe thread tape. Make sure not to wrap the tip but only the threads.

Orbit 1/2 in. x 520 in. Thread Seal Tape-31273 - The Home Depot

Use the 1/2 in. x 520 in. Thread Seal Tape to seal threaded joints on metal or plastic pipe fittings. This tape is made to wrap around threading to help create a watertight barrier.

That is not an adjustable part. it is a fixed idle jet screw. If unscrewing it a little resolves the problem then the jet need slightly enlarging but yu must be very careful as to not over size it.
