I was using my 8 year old string trimmer to cut some small saplings and it stopped running and would not re-start.
I checked for spark and had none, so I replaced the spark plug and ignition coil and checked the wiring and everything looked OK. I still cannot get a spark. I tried a second good ignition coil that I had and it won't run either. I checked the wiring to the kill switch and it checked out OK.
The ignition circuit in these trimmers is not that elaborate but I cannot find out why it won't spark for me when everything looks good. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate them. I like this trimmer and have all the attachments for it so I hate to just pitch it!
