1st thank ya'll for letting me join the group. I have a Z245 with a Briggs engine, it threw a rod, I also have a L130 with a Kohler that I have installed in the z245, everything is hooked up except the wiring, this is where I'm having trouble, the plugs are different and the number of wires are not the same. Now I thought about changing the key switch, blade control ect. But my problem is going to be making sure the electrics are hooked up on the drive handles. Any help you have will be helpfull.

Thanks

easiest thing to do is to remove the blower housings on both engines and see where the wires go to then mark them.
Cut the plug off the old engine with as much wire as you can then splice these wires to the new engine.
Some like the engine kill wire can be swapped completely.
If the Kohler has a piggy back starting solenoid then you will have to run a wire from the solenoid trigger wire on the mower to the starter on the Kohler
