swapping engines on murray riding mower.

want to replace 18hp briggs and stratton engine that is on a murray riding mower with a kohler 17hp motor that is on a craftsman riding mower. my question is, will the mounting holes match up and how do I remove pulley shafts from engines?
 
With so little information from you, I can only give you generic information. Mounting holes lining up is maybe and removing pulleys is, remove the screw in the center of the pulley and pull down. Biggest problem is wiring. It is different between brands. Mark everything before you start so you can adjust it when you have a different engine in.
