What brand and model pump? Do you have the service manual? Stupid question here..... do you have the data to show you how to measure to full? What oil (((HIINT: ALL work on XX-50 synthetic motor oil. WalMart). did you flush and change the flluids? did you locate and clean breathers? Did you bleed per manual? Some folks think this is too much trouble. pfffft.

I'm working on all that. I have downloaded the manual. I wasn't sure about the oil, that is good to know....substantial price difference

Yes, I have it downloaded. I'm not real mechanically inclined so I ask a lot of questions, it is pretty vague about some things
Ask away. remember. DO NOT touch a transmission in any fashion until GENTLY cleaned externally of ALL debris and grease. Be mindful that pressure washers can do great damage... or any water incursion, for that matter. What brand and model are you working on?

I was mainly asking to see if I can try and see if i have the problem fixed before I spend $200.00 and ruin the new oil
$200? on what? MANY/most trans are just victims of dirt, dirty filters, water, and ALWAY failure to change oil. see manual for procedures. BE ADVISEd. cheaper trans state can't be serviced. THEY ALL LIE! First things: clean everything, decide how to remove oil, check breather, replace oil. This works fine and the blend often is more helpful than full synthetic. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Super-Te...arch&sid=66a187be-ff68-4a71-9118-356f97dcb364

pump numbers and models are on a dataplate on the pump(s) themselves. I might be able give some shortcuts That is why I asked for pump model.

I'll look later and see if I can find them and post them. Thanks
