Our Troy bilt will not start. It cranks but will not start. We have replaced the solenoid, spark plug, battery, checked the lifters and adjusted. Has anyone had this problem? We are out of ideas. Thanks!

First question is Do you have spark and the second question is will the engine try to start or start and die if you spray carb cleaner in the intake, or put a small amount of gas in the intake.

Its the basics, Spark, fuel, compression, and timing. Check for these things and it will run. Don't just start replacing parts with the hope it will start. If you brought your mower to a dealer and they just started to put parts in it till it started without testing anything what would you think of them?
