suffolk punch ignition

Hi all I'm new here, i have a Suffolk punch 35s with the electronic ignition and its dead very dead new one costing 40 to 80 pounds i'm told.... ok the Q is i have some of the older types that have the points on them and a bush with a flat on the main shaft, was wondering could i fit that bush if i had one to my mower and the old style ignition coil and points to get it to work??

Are they still making them or is this a 40 year old mower ?
What type of engine does it have ,Original Suffolk, Villiers , BSA, JAP or Blackburn.
Does it have coil under the flywheel or outside the flywheel ?
Were there originally points on the engine ?

Take a look on E-bay there are coils on there for less then that..!
