Suddenly stopped, fuel leaking from bottom part of carburetor

Craftsman T150, 46 inch riding mower, Hydrostatic, Briggs & Stratton19 HP.
Ran for about two hours, still mowing when it just suddenly stopped. No stuttering or anything, smooth till it just simply suddenly stopped running. Got off, looked around and didn’t see anything obvious. Turned the key, it would spin, but wouldn’t catch to start. An hour later, I went to look at it. I noticed the smell of gasoline so I checked over on the carburetor side and found some gasoline leaking. It appears to be coming from the bottom part of the carburetor and since there’s some electrical connection right there, I decided not to create a spark by trying to crank it.
What is wrong with this engine?

Check the oil level. I’m guessing the float needle is not shutting off the fuel entering the carb and running into both the crankcase and out the air horn. Solution, clean and rebuild carb with new float needle and seat. Plus you will need to change the oil. When you post back be sure to include engine and unit model and serial numbers so we have an idea of what you are working on.

I agree with Rivets, but also take a look at the fuel hose too when you pull the carb off, in case it broke.

If you’ve never taken a carb apart, I would recommend you find an experienced tech to help you. I’m totally against telling an inexperienced DIY guy to try to learn what to do by just watching an internet video. A lot of guys around here are going to disagree with me, but I’m to old to change my ways.
