i bought a stx46 mower when i first start it it wont for a while after warming quit a bit and going back fourth with lever it start to move slowly after a bit it run fine far as speed what do you think is causing this trouble

A bad pulley on the drive belt or a worn drive belt or badly worn pivots on the clutch tension arm or just wear & tear on the controls
