Hi guys have a john deer stx38 yellow deck have tried to find belt for the cutting deck i have been advised the cutting deck and the drive belt for the cutting deck are the same size 96 inch is this correct and what the part number for the correct belt would be Thanks in advance for all and any help cheers Guys

According to JD Parts the primary is M88184 (1/2 x 60) and the secondary M82462 (1/2 x 65.6). Most of the aftermarkets are doing 60 and 66 belts. So I would think 96 inch belt would be way too long.
Even the motion drive belt is not 96 inch.

Thank you for your reply and you are correct I decided to bite the bullet and pull the belts of and run a tape over them and you are correct thanks for you quick reply much appreciated
