Stumped - Poulan Pro Snow Blower

When going through everything, I installed one of those red fuel filters in the new fuel line. Could that be the problem?

The red filters are for gravity fed fuel systems. I, personally, install the white\clear paper filters on all engines I work on. Both gravity and fuel pump operated. Never had a fuel related problem since.
