Storing pwerfold with deck up

Hi guys, I bought my first grasshopper this summer. It's a 2006 723k with a 61" powerfold deck. I love the machine! My question is: (and it might be stupid), but anyways, I am kinda limited to garage room. I have an UTV as well, and my question is, can you store the powerfold deck in an upright position through the winter, or no? I can just pull it off and slide under a work bench, if not. I was going to check first. Thanks for the input!
 
I don't have the answer you're looking for, but I'll detach my deck, and stand it up against the wall for extra room.
 
I have the same but manual lift. I see no reason why you can't do it. There is nothing that can leak out.
Just make sure your pto shaft and u-joints are well greased.
 
Bug, I was following this thread and was wondering what you settled on? Did you fold it up and leave it connected? Or disconnect for storage? Thanks.
