Steering plate on my john Deere x305r

Can some one tell me how to remove the steering plate as the wheels turns to the right way but not the other it just clicks when you get to the middle, so is it worn? I have just picked up the mower so new to me, thanks

If you are lucky it may only be the bushings.

This should be the procedure.




Assemble in reverse order.
