I have a ferris pro cut z model pcz25k engine model cv25s, my question, why wont it stay running? was mowing it stopped ,like it ran out of gas, i put gas in it tried to restart it , will only run in the start position. this is what i changed - fuel filter air filter carburetor fuel pump ignition switch, gets spark in start position checked still only runs in the start position, will only stay running in run position for no more than 2 seconds

Check all the safety switches. Seat, Handlebars, and Brake. Something is not working.

I am confussed.
When you turn the key to the start position I assume the engine fires up & starts to run.
Are you \saying that when you turn the key the 1/4ish turn back to the run position the engine stops dead ?
Remember you have the mower in front of you.
We have nothing but the words you post on screen so you really need to be very descriptive so we can "see , hear , feel & smell" exactly what you do.
