Hey all
I have an older B&S 6.5 hp push mower (model 944.361543), that hasn't been run in maybe 7 yrs. It's been stored in a shed, fuel was drained when put away.
Put in new gas, pumped the bulb a few times, 2 pulls and it started up. Ran great, but gas was running out of the pump bulb. Shut it off, drained the gas and ordered a new primer bulb.
Installed new primer. As I had it apart anyways, thought I would check the fuel bowl and clean it. Put it all back together.
Now it starts right up, but stalls 3-5 seconds later. Several times.
Any suggestions as to why its now stalling??

Need to clean carburetor. Remove, remove jets, etc., clean, put back together, install on mower.

In this case the fuel bowl bolt is the main jet and must be cleaned.

Boy I haven't access the 944. series manuals in a while.

Yes, weve owned this mower for a while, but it ran so well before we stored it, i decided to keep it around (as we have the room on the farm).
I had just cleaned the fuel bowl, and the little brass jet nut (and the 2 small holes in it, as I had it partially apart to change the primer bulb anyways.
It did run nice, then I notice the fuel dripping out of the original primer bulb, and that's why started this project in the first place.
