Starting issues

I have had problems starting my zero turn 54". When I separate the arms fully and turn the key, often it will not engage the starter. It has been wiling to start sporadically but now, I cannot coax it into acton. Any ideas?

Husqvarna makes and has made a lot of 54" ZTR's so unless you want generic guesses please go get your owners manual and post the model & serial numbers you wrote in it when you first got it .

Generic information
Engine will not start without the lap bars in the park position & the parking brake engaged ( where fitted )
These have safety switches on them which must be in a functional conditions
Some have a control module which must be in a functional condition
ZTR's wiring is more exposed than tractor style mowers so unless you greased all of the plugs as advised in the owners manual that you read cover to cover before you started to use the mower better than average chance there is a lot of corrosion up to and including a terminal totally corroded through
