This is how to repair riding lawnmower starter solenoid's. when you determine that your starter solenoid is not working you can probly
repair it. I know they dont cost much. If it makes a clicking sound, this indicates the coil is ok, its just not making contact across the
contacts to transfer 12 volts to starter.
Remove the rivets holding the parts together using a drimmel tool or similar. When removing rivets be sure to hold parts together as
there is a spring under neath. Dissemble, being aware of all parts parts location. You will see a contact thet connects the two large
terminals. Check contacts for burn/ pits and remove all burn points( if contacts are burned too bad forget repair).
Reassemble solenoid, make sure all parts are in right place.
You can either replace rivets removed with other rivets or just use nuts and bolts to close up.
Should be good as new
Saved a couple of bucks.

Not worth the trouble as I only pay $5 a piece for them.
