Heres some almost finished pics i am going to find a newer seat not new i refuse to pay almost what i paid for the mower for a new seat , i added skull grips and grip tape and a skull shift knob i resprayed everything and hand painted all the little raised lettering overall i thing it looks a hundred times better not to mention runs better oil change new plug new blade new filter
Yea im real happy with the paint its the best i could do with spray cans i was going to do the rims but wanna wait till i get new tires so i can swapem out while i paint the rims
Howd that turn out? oil based was that spray on? Sounds long lasting , I hope this paint job last a few seasons but here in florida were tough on these mowers they have to work almost year round and Im a tinkerer so a few bad spots ill probably redo it it was easy enough this time around so may try that oil based next shot

Yes it was spray on from tsc. Its not perfect snapper red but its stronger than the krylon. My granddad used to build snappers in Florida. He would run them all year too. By the way I will get the exact brand of paint for ya. I remember its a tractor paint.

Even if that doesn't match the original red exactly it looks really good:thumbsup:

Thanks I wish I could find the real snapper paint but the dealership here never has any

I would suggest calling snapper directly (or whoever it is that owns snapper now) but the current snapper-red isn't the same as vintage red. Today's looks too orange.

Briggs and stratton own snapper now and I agree the new snappers are a different color. I wouldn't buy a new one. The old ones were built to last.
I agree the one i have has to be 25+ years old still runs and drives better than any other small rider ive tried out it was a good engineered mower built to last if maintained ...forever ! my neighbor calls it a forever investment i hope to get my forever out of it now
