I have a 3 or 4 year old John Deer 105 this year it has started to squeak while mowing. It seems to be coming from under the seat. I have put some grease the axels any greased all the fittings on the mowing deck I am at a loss any ideas

Does it only make noise when the blades are engaged ?
Does it do it when the mower is not moving?
Does it do it in reverse ?

First thing I would do is take the belt off that goes to the blades.
Turn each blade and and check for any noise and if there is play in the spindle when you move the blade up and down.
Then check the other pulleys ( idler pulley/s)
Make sure they spin easy and not make any noise.

Thanks I was going to remove the deck and see if it still squeaked. I think it may be the drive belt.
