Now that a number of us have the power to move threads, is there a spam forum? I looked and didn't see an obvious destination for it.

I see that a bunch have disappeared, but don't know how. I thought it was the power to move threads, but I didn't find a spam forum to move them to.

We can add one.

But we have a new flow for user registration:

Before user has 1 post, they are only allowed to post in the new member forum, which puts the post into an approval queue by default. So this should capture all possible spam.

Spammers and Bots are a problem that are hard to deal with. And now with AI it is only getting worst. Darn AI is trying to gain edit access to my cloud files which why I am moving them off to a 2tb external drive. It is a little hard for them to excess that drive when it is not connected. It is actually in my dish washer right now as I never use the washer except as storage area.

We are constantly being hit with scripts, cookies, and ads even as individuals. This why I use NoScript, AdBlocker Plus, Have all cookies deleted as I closed down Firefox, and even an anti spyware program once daily to get those cookies that sneaks in anyway. Not to mention a robust anti virus software. We all have to be over cautious now days.

And you sure in heck don't send a password protected thumb drive with the password on a Post It note attached. How stupid can they get. Never mind its our current Government bunch of idiots. Basically whatever files that are on the drive are not even protected and a virus could easy be implanted. The password should be sent by encrypted mail using at least 256 bit encryption.

I had a bunch of files on external drives and all of the drives failed. I would recommend SSD storage or an actual backup machine instead of just external hard drives if those files are really important to you.
