Snow Plow Down Pressure

I have a JD X320 with a plow. I was trying to spread gravel earlier today and I had problems with getting down pressure on the blade to be able to push.

Is there any way I can get pressure on the blade?
 
Is it hydraulic or manual lift? If it's manual lift the only option is to add weight to the blade which will add it's own unique problems.

weight will work but just rember the weight you put on you have to pick it up
the only thing wrong with the weight. hope you are strong in that arm. :smile:
