Snapper SR 95

Just bought a snapper from friend,it was took care of well.Should i use or restore it?I don,t know what year it is.It,s SR 95 model-280810be....s/n 25 298608....it runs well and cuts like a jiffy,8HP,synchro balanced briggs,28" cut.Can i get a original looking seat for this model?I haven,t the slightest idea what year it is.I,m definitely keeping it and passing on to kids for sure.Anyone schooled on this can elaborate please,thanks:)

It looks like it is in great condition! I would use it if I were you, but some people restore it and THEN use it. It's even better when you can work really hard on a project and then you can use the mower, not just stare at it! :smile:
